So delighted to have been nominated for an RTE Radio1 Folk Award in the best emerging artist category. Thanks very much to RTE Radio1 and all the radio shows that have supported my music. It is so appreciated! The awards ceremony is this Thursday 17th Nov in Vicar Street, Dublin. Wish me luck!
I’m delighted to share a live session I recorded earlier this year in the historic Armagh Gaol.
Armagh Gaol was built in the 1700’s and was Ulster’s main Women’s prison. The last female inmates were imprisoned here in the 1980’s. The gaol is permanently closed with no access to the public. It has a fascinating and sad history which I urge you to read about. It was a real honour to be allowed in to do something creative. Huge thanks to Amberlea Neely, Roisin Fee, Brian Johnston, Gregory Wilson and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for allowing access.
Thankyou also to Joe Laverty of the Whisper Project for filming and editing, Stevie Lennox on sound and Zarah Fleming on Cello. It was a freezing day and i’m so grateful to everyone for helping create something beautiful. Check it out below.
Such a beautiful night launching my EP at The Sunflower bar as part of the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival. Thankyou to the wonderful audience, Katie McGown, Zarah Fleming, Niall McNamee, John McGurgan, Sean Kelly and everyone at CQAF. So great to be out playing again! More gig announcements coming soon.
Official lyric video for my song ‘La Lune’ is released today which also marks exactly one month until my EP Launch!
Sat 30th April in The Sunflower Belfast as part of the Cathedral Quarter Arts festival. Joining me on the night are wonderful string duo Zarah Fleming (Cello) and Katie McGown (Violin) with support by the brilliant Niall McNamee. I’ll be playing songs from both albums and my new EP as well as some of my favourite covers. To come along tickets are available here. Can’t wait to share some music with you all!
UPDATE Unfortunately my upcoming EP launch has been postponed to Sat 30th April. Due to increasing Covid infection rates the Out To Lunch festival made the tough but wise decision to postpone all shows…but it means we will be able to have fun in the sun this April, tickets already bought can be used for the new date Sat 30th April! http://www.cqaf.com for more details 🤗
